Description: The extent of paved or impervious areas.**If any bridge feature is edited please edit it in the BridgePoint feature class as well (the Facility IDs for bridges can be joined).Last update: October 2016Polygon file of pavement edges. Updated by Richardson GIS staff referencing 4 inch resolution Orthophotos from 2016 Pictometry. More recent major construction areas have been updated from as-built plans when available. Original data from 2007 planimetrics derived from 2007 orthophoto, source NCTCOG (North Central Texas Council of Governments).Additional bridge polygons were added from the Bridge_LN and Bridges_PY feature classes (08/2014).FeaturesThe original feature set included many large polygons digitized as one such as when many islands are included in one feature to form the state of Hawaii. This caused loss of data when edits inadvertently deleted data in areas outside the field on view. In an effort to resolve this in October 2013 the feature set was clipped by areas approximately equal to the street atlas grid and reloaded to the database in segments. This effectively separated the expansive features into manageable areas. However edits should still be made with care as small areas of pavement may be included in a feature anywhere within the grid. To test, select a feature and use the 'zoom to selected' tool and examine the areas closely for any small segments of the polygon selected in addition to the polygon to be edited. metadata edited 08/2014
